Hello,
I am in charge of setting up the Arena control software and the scorekeeper software for an upcoming vex challenge.
Can I configure the Vex Arena controller to be controlled by the scorekeeper software?
How does that work.
Thanks.

I suggest you contact IFI (VexLabs) for specifics on how to operate the field controller. The affiliate partner section of the official FVC forum might also be of use.

I think that the code you can acquire from the Wildstangs team does what you want.
I know someone with experience in Delaware who might be able to guide you through this. I will send him an email message asking him to take a look at this thread and then to contact you if he is able to help.
Also, if you are setting up for next weekend's NC Championship, your NC Affiliate Partner should be in touch with plenty of folks who can help.

Sorry - The controller for my scrimmage/practice filed is manually operated.... I can't offer any direct help.

The software that you download from the Wildstang site works seamlessly with the FVC controller. There is nothing you have to do except follow the installation instructions that come with the software. I have used this at the Delaware and NJ Regionals and many local scrimmages and it works great. The only problem I ran into early on was loading the servers, but the latest version has everything worked out.
I suggest you try everything out well before the event, and make sure you have a robot connected to the controller. That is the only way to confirm that you connected everything up properly.
If you run into trouble give FIRST a call and they can direct you to the proper resource (IFI, Intellitek, Wildstang, or myself).
Good Luck,
Joe
